Hello, my name is Rob Busick, my friends call me Bunk.  I am the founder BestPro, a family owned contracting business that serves commercial and residential customers.   

I started my business based on a dream I had while in a coma over 30 days.  While in a coma i had many dreams that were so real, vivid and clear.  In my dream I built a business called BestPro, my business became so successful that I was able to give back to those in need.  I was able to make a difference in this world, sharing my story of how I found peace in God.   

My dreams started on July 22, 2018 the day I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury.   It was an ordinary Sunday afternoon as I found my self outside with my youngest son, Colton Jameson.  We were both racing down our driveway; he was on his Big Wheel, and I was on my Long Skate Board.   

That race was my very last race, at the end of the race I fell off my skateboard, hitting the back of my head.  I was not wearing a helmet and I hit my head so very soft on the grass of my front yard.  Who knew that day would change everything in my life moving forward. I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in front of my 7 year old son. I was knocked unconscious, I was immediately rushed to Shock Trauma where my lungs collapsed, with a severe brain bleed, not expected to survive as I was on a ventilator for the next 30 days.   

All the doctors told my wife and 3 sons to prepare for the worst.  After a long 30 days of being in a deep sleep, I found the strength to open my eyes. I woke up to find my loving wife by my bed side. 

My first words to my wife, do you remember what I told you?  I want to play guitar, I want to know God and want to build my own business, called BestPro.  3 things I would have never said before my accident.

When I asked my wife, do you remember what I told you.  I was referring to what I told my wife, family and friends 10 days before my accident while in Ocean City Maryland.

My amazing story started on July 12, 2018 while watching the Sun Rise, God spoke to me.  God told me “You will be okay”.

It was clear Summers day at 5:45 in the morning.  As the Sun started to rise on the oceans horizon, I decided to stare at the sun because I just bought a fancy pair of 300 dollar sunglasses.   I was immediately mesmerized by the beauty of the Sun Rise and the peacefulness around me.  While staring at the Sun the ocean waves became silent, the warmth from the sun never felt so comfortable.  As the Sun continued to rise I clearly heard the most beautiful voice telling me to stand up, telling me to walk into the ocean.  As walked into the ocean both my hands went up in the air without my control.  It was at that moment I clearly heard God voice for the first time in my life.

God clearly said, “You will be okay”.

At that moment my entire being was in a trance, unable to move, only able to move with my eyes as my body held so still.  I looked down with my eyes clearly seeing fresh footprints coming out of the ocean waves.

I was able to turn and follow those footprints, I followed each footprint in the sand as it guided me to an end at the sand dune fence.   I ran into the fence as the footprints disappeared, I woke up from my trance.  I knew right away God spoke to me.  I was excited to tell my wife, so I grabbed my beach chair, and ran back to our condo to wake her up.  I woke my wife saying I have something important to tell you.  I said God just spoke to me while I was watching the Sun Rise. God told me I will be okay, I have no clue what he meant but it means something.  She immediately laughed and asked if I had been drinking as she rolled over and went back to bed.  Excited yet confused as to what the words of God meant.  Later in the day I shared my amazing story with my friends at lunch. 

As I look back I realize that sharing my story with my wife and friends was part of God’s real truth.  10 days later after God speaking to me, I fell and hit my head suffering a traumatic brain injury.  I truly believe those words from God was a direct message for what was to come.

The road of recovery has not been easy one for my family and I.  Since my accident we suffered through trials and tribulations of financial hardship and gave up things I thought that I always needed.  The Real Truth in my life prior to my accident, I was missing God in my life.  I had everything but true happiness.  Today God is at the forefront of my life; he is my best friend.  We conversate daily and I now look for his guidance in everything I do.  

Fast forward to today, my prayers have been answered/  I am living the dream.  I am no longer running through my life, I now live in the moment.  I have slowed my life down, building my business one job at a time. God has a plan for me, I am so blessed to be alive.

Don’t get me wrong, life is not easy living with a Brain Injury, I have my days of struggle, but I have a real peace knowing that God is beside me during my journey here on earth.
